TORRINGTON, CT 15 JULY, 2010-07150JS01-Tamarind is one of the many ethnic foods carried by Jose Cuzco, the owner of Tino's Fruit Market located on Main Street in Torrington. Cuzco travels to New York City once a week to buy produce he can't find in Connecticut that is familiar to his Hispanic customers. The sweet and sour fruit inside the pods of the tamarind tree is generally used for making juice, but is also as a snack and used in cooking. <br />
