THOMASTON, CT - 13 SEPTEMBER 2008 091308JW01.jpg -- James Healy of Thomaston pours his used oil into th storage tank of the Thomaston transfer station Saturday morning. Healy, who drives for a courier service says he will continue to change his own oil and bring the old oil to the station. Monday September 14 will be the last day the transfer station will accept bulky waste. The transfer station will be limited to leaves, brush, waste oil and car batteries only. Albreada Refuse & Sweeping will accept bulky waste at their facility at 14 Iffland Pond Road in Litchfield. Calls can be made to Allied Sanitation, the Town’s current curbside hauler, for bulky waste pickup at  customers home. Jonathan Wilcox Republican-American
