Southbury, CT-19 April 041914MK12 Volunteer Dan Pierelli sorts books during Southbury Public Library's "The Spring into Summer Reading Sale" on Saturday afternoon. Chris Tolley, vice president of Friends of the Southbury Public Library, said that the organization has it’s annual sale in the library’s lobby this year rather than in the basement where larger sales were held in the past. The local fire marshal found the basement is only suitable for storage. Tolley said that almost 60,000 books are available for sale and only 2000 at time are displayed due to space availability. The selection of material covers many categories with the supply being replenished on a daily basis. The sale continues through May 11th. Michael Kabelka / Republican-American
