WATERTOWN, CT May 30 2014-053014LW01 - Watertown's Swift Middle School Assistant Principal Mary Jean Mangione, left, poses with eight grade student Diana Ghisa. Ghisa created a butterfly design with a pink breast cancer ribbon in the center in honor of Mangione, who was diagnosed with breast cancer about a year ago. Ghisa made copies of the design and sold it to her classmates for $1. The students donated over $200 to Relay for Life and breast cancer research. The students wrote their names on the bottom of each image and displayed them in the school's lobby when Magione returned in January. "It was very touching and welcoming," Mangione said. She said she is doing much better now and is working toward getting back to work full time.
