PORT HURON, MI-31 JULY 2004-080404JS05 The Fort Gratiot Lighthouse in Port Huron, Michigan sits on Lake Huron at the entrance of the St. Clair River. Built in 1825, it is the oldest lighthouse in Michigan, actually  older than the state itself. Michigan was admitted into the union in 1837. The 86-foot lighthouse is a National Historical Landmark.
