The Christmas Village parade makes its way up Main Street in Torrington on Sunday. In the parade were the Torrington's Veterans' Service's Color Guard, St. Peter's Drum Corps, local Cub and Girl Scouts, members of the Torrington Fire Department, Torrington High School cheerleaders and marching band, among others. The Christmas Village is a 61-year tradition, featuring Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, an elves' workshop, Christmas carols, a nativity scene, and animals. The village is free, but long lines are common. <br />
