TORRINGTON, CT - 30 December, 2008 - 123008MO04 - A worker cuts down a tree that had fallen onto power lines at the intersection of Torringford Street and Greenwoods Road in Torrington Tuesday morning, leaving about 300 people without power for several hours. High winds downed trees and limbs causing scattered outages across the region. More than 5,300 Connecticut Light and Power customers were without power at 4 p.m. Jim Moore Republican-American.
