As the city's population is changing with more Spanis-speaking immigrants and test scores reflect nationwide that girls are far outpacing boys in reading, the role of schools libraries has changed. An emphasis is now on making sure libraries are stocked with books that will attract boys, and books that will help increase interest in reading for all students.<br />
