WATERBURY, CT, 23 SEPTEMBER 2011-092311JS06--Future NBA player for the New Jeresy Nets and former Torrington High School standout Jordan Williams pulls down a rebound during the Ryan Gomes All-Stars basketball game with the New York City Street Ballers Friday at Crosby High School in Waterbury. The event was held as  a fund raiser for Hoops for Heart Health, the Ryan Gomes Foundation charity that donates heart defibrillators to schools and gymnasiums around the country. The second will support a college fund for the child of Timothy "T.J." Mathis was shot and killed in New Haven earlier this month. Mathis was a former Hamden High basketball star who later played at Morgan State University and Mercyhurst College. The 25-year-old had become a close friend to Gomes through their shared love of basketball. The two were teammates in summer league tournaments, and often played together right here at the North End Rec Center.<br />
