SALISBURY CT. 17  January 2008-011708SV05--Responding to National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) announcement that under-designed gusset plates may have played a role in a Minneapolis bridge collapse, Governor M. Jodi Rell and Department of Transportation Acting Commissioner Emil H. Frankel today announced that the DOT will immediately begin load capacity calculations on six bridges in Connecticut which are of a generally similar design. This bridge on Rt. 7 is one of the six to be tested, it crosses the Housatonic River in Salisbury.<br />
